Why Choose WhirlDesign?

"I have a small business raising registered sheep and for over 10 years had to attend fairs and place ads in magazines to market my animals and their fleeces. Since I had WhirlDesign create a website for me, I no longer have to leave home to be 'found'. New customers contact me almost daily asking what I currently have for sale."

Creating a website is a very personal experience and is different with every client. You can choose to be involved in every step or you can leave the details up to me, either way I guarantee the final product will be a professional website with a look unique to you. I do not produce "cookie cutter" websites and my clients appreciate the recognition and repeat users this attracts.

The total cost of a website is no more than a full-page ad in a monthly magazine! An ad runs once and is only seen by magazine subscribers. A website can be seen by anyone, 24 hours a day, and you can present far more information than in an ad. You can also get much more from your advertising dollar by adding your website address to your business cards, email correspondence and any ads you place in magazines. WhirlDesign will guide you through the entire process, from creating good web page text, to explaining the differences between a domain name and free web space. I will answer any questions that you have along the way. I want you to feel comfortable as well as understand what you are buying. With WhirlDesign, there is "service after the sale!"

There are two equally important ingredients in creating a great website: Content and Presentation. Good presentation requires that your website be easy to navigate for the surfer as well as having eye appeal, while keeping in mind that people use a variety of browsers (ie: Netscape, Internet Explorer) and will see your site differently. WhirlDesign thoroughly tests all websites before going "live"* on both the PC and Macintosh platforms.

I provide site registration, which is the process of submitting a new website to various search engines and directories that populate the world wide web, such as Google and Yahoo. Sometimes registering a site is as simple as entering a URL, others times the registration process involves keywords, classifications, and descriptions.

As a WhirlDesign client, you will communicate with me via email and traditional USPS mail. You may send me all of your photos and text as either hard-copy or as electronic files. You'll see your website as it is being created on a private internet site that only you can view. I will not post your website for public viewing until it is complete and you have approved all content and design.

* Viewable by the general public on the internet
